Swarupmay Majumdar Female labrador Bitch of around 55 days pregency had been crying a lot since yesterday after a vets check up been brought up to clinic as dead for removing any live puppy. Dog died on the way as they could find no hospitals nearby in this odd time. Open up for Postmortem. Found all pups died off! the Uterus was torsioned! so sad!

    Joseph Cyrus I dont there is a point of c section in 51 days the pups wont be vialble right? then what is the point? 51 days no chance, but why does torsion happen then? usualy torsion starts as a part of the birth process, right?

    No, in cattle it is only discovered at the time of parturition but in horse it happened in the last part of pregnancy so it is thought that even in cows it happens before but it is not discovered till the cow gives birth.
