    • Swarupmay Majumdar bad news, I collected the sample yesterday. The owner could give it today 2.30pm .lab is not accepting it. I may have to take it again. X -ray will be done today. Its a house visit case, so I cant expect fast results.

    • Viju Vijayan lesser chances for pseudo, coz its been 2 months since heat. and if at all, it might show some signs like engorged teats, love towards inanimate objects etc, i too vote for pyometra taking into consideration also the age. might be a closed one. does any one do the Formol gel test for pyometra? interested to know thats all..

formol gel test is used to diagnose pyometra, dont know its accuracy, but can try it. 1cc of serum is taken and mixed with 1 drop of 40% formalin. in pyometra cases a gel formation occurs. thats abt the formol gel test. never tried it but read about it in some books and they say we get fairly good results. thats why i asked if any one tried it
