Paediatrics- plasma transfusion

Saurabh Saxena paediatrics-hi all ,recently i bumped into an article abt giving plasma transfusion to fading pups.nice concepet though!!how it can be done .pls comment

    • Saurabh Saxena yes sure ,its a gr88 concept,but how can can we give plasma to 2-4 day old pup.which method and which route wud be better?? foreign based vets shd throw sum light??is it a common practice there??

    • Joseph Cyrus u can give it introoessous or i/p. we at CUPA Bangalore have used it extensively in parvo puppies with excellent results. u may want to keep ur options open for expensive puppies.

    • Sp Singh you can give plasma harvested from the known mother whose puppies dies due to it ----or--- can be harvested from the same mother and can be given ORALLY to the newborn
