Jeya Bharath Hi guys sorry for my long silence, been very busy. Had an interesting intramedulary pinning case of a maltese pup. Surgically corrected attached are some x-rays.

    • Cyril Roy I thought intramedulary pinning is old fashioned and too much work..drilling...messy....Is it still the prefered choice in surgery circles...I have been out of touch with small animal practice for a long time guys..so dont take my comments seriously

jaya isr, wwhere is the pin end, it seems to have extended well over the femur head? or am i wrong.

@ cyril, for GP's, pinning plating and ex fix are the only options. the rest of the more advanced techniques need lots of practice not possib...See more

    • Cyril Roy Seems like the whole pin is inside..Normally it cut at the top and should be blunt..isnt it..Hi Guruji....Needs explanation...Guruji..Namashkar..

    • Swarupmay Majumdar I think this has been a tough job.. doing on a maltese pup!

    • Gautam Unny i would have preffered the end at the knee joint to be blunt too. that way it does not penetrate the joint capsule,

yes swarup must have been tough on a pup
