Why yearly vaccination

Saurabh Saxena anti rabies vaccine(for dog) saves human from dog bite.but if a stray bit a pet dog ,then ARV is again repeated ,heard sumwhere that a serum is now available for pet dogs to save them from stray dog bite and gives immunity for 3 yrs????is it true?pls guide me on this?

      Please understand that we vets can only advice whether the pet is showing clinical signs of Rabies and advice the human physician about this. The rest to go for Post bite injections depends on medicos.
