Recurrent skin infection
Ajitesh KumarA FIVE YEAR OLD BASSET HOUND MALE CAME WITH MULTIPLE CUTANEOUS ERUPTIONS. THE PATIENT WAS TREATED BY ANOTHER VET SINCE LAST 3 MONTHS. THAT TIME THERE WAS ONLY ALOPECIA. HE GAVE VIT A , DECTOMAX, AND STREPTOPENICILLIN. PATIENT RECOVERED. IT CAME BACK WITH THE PROBLEM OF CORNEAL OPACITY AND SKIN INFECTION WITH HAIR FALL 1 MONTHS LATER. AGAIN THE SAME MEDICATION WAS REPEATED.BUT THIS TIME VERY NEXT DAY THERE WAS AN ERUPTION AT THE SITE OF INJECTION OF IVRMECTIN.THEN SLOWLY MULTIPLE ERUPTIONS APPEARED OVER A PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS. THIS TIME PATIENT IS ON STREPTOPENICILLIN, PREDNISOLONE AND DECTOMAX WAS GIVEN AGAIN WITH NO IMPROVEMENT.
