I have used Azodyl many a times. I tell my clients clearly what Azodyl is and what we can expect. I use simmultaneously other homeopathic medicines and get excellent results. I feel Canine practice in present days is dominated by renal failures, whether we diagnose or delay it.

the reports differes as it could be a case of Acute renal failure and the doctor ( owner) used lots of Drips in 2 days post this results. but this drastic changes I could never accept. When I saw the dog I told them It could not be true as the dog was doing still well. creatine over 5, dog finds very difficult and at 21 it sure shows all uremic signs. he had none! so only went for the blood tests.

Azodyl Caps helps to slow down uremic toxin buildup and prevent further kidney damage in dogs and cats. It is a breakthrough in veterinary product. It works by providing natural Enteric Dialysis through the use of beneficial bacteria that support kidney function.

      # The treatment choice at the first signs of azotemia in dog and cats with acute or chronic kidney disease.
      # Patented formula of naturally-occurring beneficial bacteria that metabolize and flush out uremic toxins that have diffused into the bowel as a result of increased toxin levels in the blood.

An insidious process: The downward spiral of renal failure
Azotemia is defined as an increased concentration of nonprotein nitrogenous compounds – usually urea and creatinine – in the blood, resulting from the kidneys’ impaired ability to fiter and eliminate waste.
Current medical management of renal failure consists of supportive and symptomatic therapy designed to address underlying conditions (if known).
Except for dialysis and kidney transplants, which are not common in veterinary medicine, nothing has been available to specifically focus on the reduction of toxin buildup in the blood… until now.

New hope for compromised kidneys through targeted use of beneficial bacteria Introducing Azodyl…

well for acute renal failure , i use lots of ringers twice a day, 25% dextrose( energy to prevent catabolic changes), ranitidine ( to counter gastrin effects), ondensetron ( control of vomiting ) if there is any infection i choose a suitable antibiotic, like pencillins in leptospira, b complex .

in crf i institute the owner to give s/c fluids alternate days, regular ranitidine, renal diets ( prescription or home made) b complex, some tonic to make blood and sometimes erythropoitin.

    • Gautam Unny i used to use it very frequently doc, the human version is quite cheap, used to use it weekly. after that at a waltham renal seminar the guest speaker told us that the human one can cause deleterious effects by forming antibodies againast the natural erythropoetin and then i stopped using it!! the vet version is not available....
