Looks like ID cysts again... Cytology of exudate (infection, sterile - if on abs, may not see infectious agent!!! demodex), ck for underlying causes (FB, allergic; hormonal unlikely at this age), given breed check for conjoined pads too.

Cephalexin (22-30mg/kg BID) antibiotic of choice in the UK; US often ofloxacin. Clindamycin (11mg/kg SID) and TMP-S (25-30mg/kg BID) also appropriate

    • Sajayan Sahadevan Dr, is the absces ripened or in initial stage.?Can try taxim and a NSAID.If likely to ripen, pl go for icthymol glycerine external appl for ripening and then it ll b easy to cure.

    • 向恆逸 I agree to use NSAID,too. I will wash only by savlon because savlon can't use with betadine in the same time. I usually give these kinds of cases Amoxicillin 20mg/kg + Carprofen 2.2mg/kg BID PO. Nitrofurazone oint. for outernal use.
