Calcium supplimentation in pregnant bitches
Swarupmay MajumdarA gynocologist advices calcium & iron syp for a pregnant lady. We are not supposed to do so with a bitch. No to calcium supplementation in pregnent bitches, iron is optional.
doc what i know is that calcium should be given in the last fortnight of the pregnancy , it avoids the problem of eclampsia as well as the ossification also takes place in these days mainly. if you start early & the litter no is small than chances of foetal oversize are there leading to dystocia.
