Ticks deep inside ear

Sumit Virmani How to manage the ticks deep inside the ear canal??
They are visible, but out of reach; and i'm not sure whether to use

Butox/Fipronil inside the ear.

      There are many ways!!
      1. add Ivermectin Pour on mixed in some oil base inside ear!!
      2. Use Fipronil spray/spot on! no need to add inside ears as it covers all over body in 48 hrs!
3.Use Imidacloprid (advantix) spot on , they anish in 6-12 hrs.
4.inject dectomax or ivermectin sc. 1ml for 50 kg!
I had never used Amitraz! so no comments on that

    • Rajshankar Tony Sarma Are these ticks or ear mites?
      August 10 at 5:29am · ·
    • Sumit Virmani ‎@ Rajshankar : Ticks.
I'd say around 100+ , or maybe much more, on a pug !!
I pity the dog and wanted to kick the owner's a** for his negligence.

    • Rajshankar Tony Sarma Ouch. I'd personally go with Advantix; Fipronil is pretty slow at killing ticks unless you can get direct application, as is Selamectin.

I suspect that Ivermectin will work too although refer to previous discussions on that one!

    • Rajshankar Tony Sarma NB - Advantix can also take a while to kill ticks already on the dog - its main indication is for prevention of ticks, although it's generally superior to fipronil for this. Do you guys have Prac-Tic (Pyriprole)? Far better.

    • Rajshankar Tony Sarma ProMeris is also good according to friends; however, there's already been the report of toxicities on SAVIN. No experience of it myself.
