    • Swarupmay Majumdar I said, say the cat owner that ur cat needs an ARV shot for biting a vet! and charge it

    • Premal Darji suppose if by mistake if sumthing happens to a cat or dog in ur clinic like gets hurt while handling..that client is going to take ur case properly or get that thing treated from u for free and u wud do it happily i knw..but what whn v get bitten or hurt by thr animal..thy just say sorry doc but my dog/cat had never bitten ne 1..question is who is going to pay for it..
      08 July at 15:18 · ·
    • Premal Darji i was bitten by a doberman..was like a handicape for 2 weeks..forget owner paying for the bite wounds..what about other pets that u cant treat..
      08 July at 15:19 · ·
    • Nassem N. Naimi My father off course :P
      08 July at 15:19 · ·
    • Nassem N. Naimi hmmm if the owner cant handle his dog then forget about it
but I usually let the owner put a mussel on his dog's mouth if he couldnt I will tell him it is your own fault :) u can take him to another Dr. who will enjoy risking himself :)

    • Swarupmay Majumdar I think its a valid thought!
      08 July at 15:22 · ·
    • Nassem N. Naimi Yep :P I didn't get married yet and still no kids to have my name :P so I am not ready to risk :D
      08 July at 15:23 · ·

    • Swarupmay Majumdar my vet med teacher at MVC used to say, a real horse kicks once and a real vet gets bitten once ! More than once ( may be frequent ) if u r getting bitten by ur pet clients, it means u need to pay it from ur pocket...becoz u have not learned the art of handling a pet! why should u refer a pet to other vet for not been able to handle! If u cant , do u think others can!!! very bad taste of reffering a case! I am sad to say, I believe handling is more of vets/ vet assistants job than fully to be owners
      08 July at 15:28 · ·
    • Nassem N. Naimi What is the worse place :P
      08 July at 15:33 · ·
    • Nassem N. Naimi
‎@ Dr Swarupmay if I cant I will refair him to a Shelter as they have tools to handle aggressive dogs :) but in your clinic you cant have a chocking stick (a long stick has a rope at the end to hold the dog )
but again there are many ways bu...See more

    • Sumit Virmani My rule of thumb: Approach any unknown animal with caution !!

I have "not treated" cases on a few occasions, simply because the animal was too vicious to be muzzled, even by the owner.
      08 July at 19:17 · ·
    • Premal Darji i hav always treated..wheather viscious or tame..
      08 July at 21:09 · · 1 person ·
    • Swarupmay Majumdar I have treated all dogs or cats whatever be the case, whatever be the type and whether paid or free! We cant make a choice here! would Treat everyone in the best possible restrains after accptance from owner.
