Rectal prolapse and swallen penis

DrKumar Ravi today one dog with rectal prolapse n penis is protruding outside of prepuce n just like a tanis ball size, i wash sedate the dog n correct the prolapse rectum n put purse string sutures, n of penis i wash with cold d-25 for about 30 min gives lasix , antiinflamatory abs, but no reduction in size there, yesterday evening i make a cut over prepuce to relieve the swelling but till now there is no reduction in size . what do do now any suggestion

    Saurabh Saxena i use crushed ice pack cover over penis and usually it subsides with in 10-15 min..u can use crushed ice wid condys sol and place it in prepuce.iif nothg works ,,u might need to think abt amputation???

    Swarupmay Majumdar take a look, is ita hematoma? can be hematoma of penis also.

    Ok I had a similar case before. Dexamethazone + cushed Ice + alot of lubricants in anesthetized animal.
    Check the peniel bone for fractures, if no try to cut the prepuce.
    No results then as Dr. Saurabh mentioned think about amputation a dog without penis is better than a Dead dog
