Miths in medicine practice

DrKumar Ravi hi docs is there is any truth that giving milk in past operative cases make pus at site of operation. or milk is precursor of pus

    • Nassem N. Naimi Puss mainly made of Inflammatory cells which is not related to Milk which is free of cells.
      but putting milk on the wound may cause wound infection which will cause inflammation which will show PUSS.

      Dr. Nassem, i think there's some confusion. The discussion is that some people think (myth) that feeding milk (orally) in a post-op case will cause accumulation of pus at the surgical site!!! and not about applying milk on a surgical site....See more

    • Nassem N. Naimi OK anyway personally I don't prefer giving cattle milk to small animals at all because big percentage will have Diarrhea after having it as they are intolerant.
      but still Milk and Puss I Don't believe they have any relation
