Man Pseudopregnancy is not a DISORDER it is a normal process even it is a sign for a normal Bitch and normal hormones.
Treatment is to leave the bitch alone, maybe using E.Collar may help in decreasing her lactation.
      Dont use Progesterone and...See more

    • Swarupmay Majumdar nothing required...use lemon juice mixed in castor oil to apply on the inflammed mammae. sweeling usually reduces slowly but pain is relieved a lot! Can try homeopathic Pulsatilla 30 three times a day for 3 days

    • Nassem N. Naimi all the papers about Psuedopregnancy reported that the best thing is not to touch the bitches Under (bitch stands for a female dog :P)
      so don't touch them

    • Swarupmay Majumdar ‎! they fear a lot! If there is so much milk, there is no problem if u milk the dog once to reduce the swelling than apply cold pultice! It helps a lot to reduce the bacterial count in the mammae

    • Nassem N. Naimi ‎:P DONT TOUCH THEM other wise you will stimulate her to produce milk :)

    • Viju Vijayan well i suggest to go for treatment with bromocryptine or cabergoline. its what i usually do if the owners are so worried. and dont forget to give antiemetics along with it as vomiting is very evident side effect.

    • Gagan Gaudi no treatment of prevention of pseudopregnancy, ovariohysterectomy if recommended. miss next heat and mate it with some other male. i think thats only thing what we can do.
regarding the cause its the hormonal imbalance which is responsible.
