Heart failure

Nassem N. Naimi Mini bitch spayed (mix) at least 8 years old having Cataract.
Came with history of bloody diarrhea (Very sever as described by the other vet) after 3 days course Sulfadiazime diarrhea stopped, but when presented to my clinic it had Brisket Edema Dilated Veins, distended abdomen, coughing and water is coming out, sings of syncope (as described by the owner) Heart sound we normal to me and to the other Vet.
PU/PD + Polyphagia (like almost all clinical signs in it:P)
The cough and fluid comes with the cough started 4 years ago
so I suspect heart failure in addition to another primary heart problem in addition to kidney and/or liver problem (Blood chemistry results will be received today)
Agreee???

    • Swarupmay Majumdar check again for uterine size becoz stump pyometra sometimes cuses many signs like that , so spayed bitch also have a chance to suffer. Some of the signs like PUPD, loosemotion, toxaemia are also presemt in Stump npyometra. Stump pyometra, CHF, organ fails are some tentative diagnosis

She is having bloody Diarrhea Treated for more than 1 month from different vets :) with different Antiboitics no response but even without antibiotic sometime The diarrhea stops and then come back but still there is blood today she show me picture for the diarrhea it is typical for colitis.
I ruled out infectious causes because she is on different antibioitics for long period and no improvement.
so I gave her Prendesolone tablets for one week.
If didn't respond then I Will send her to a referal (Very far from my city and she is refusing the idea) because their I advised for Endoscopy and Biopsy :)
